What to Expect From a Flower Mini Session at Old River Farms

If you've been following along, you may have seen the photos I took of Isla earlier this year in the larkspur fields at Old River Farms. That morning stuck with me, and it didn't take long to realize I wanted to bring clients out there too.
The larkspur has come and gone, but right now the farm is at the tail end of their sunflower and zinnia season before the summer heat takes over. I'm offering a one day mini session event this Sunday, June 21st, and spots are limited. Here's everything you need to know.
What Is a Mini Session?
A mini session is a shorter, more streamlined version of a full photography session. Where a full session runs up to 90 minutes and includes an image reveal, design appointment, and the option to order wall art and keepsakes, a mini session is focused and fast. You come in, we shoot, and you walk away with digital images delivered to you afterward.
Mini sessions are a great option if you want beautiful photos without the full experience, or if you want to try working with me before committing to a full session down the road.
The Details

Date: Sunday, June 21st | Location: Old River Farms, Wilmington, NC | Session length: 15 minutes per slot | Investment: $175 to reserve your slot | What's included: 3 edited digital images of your choice | Additional images: $50 each
After your session, I'll send over a preview gallery. From there you'll choose which 3 images you'd like edited and delivered. Additional images are available at $50 each. Because this is a working farm open to the public, I can't guarantee there won't be other dogs around, but your session time is yours exclusively.
Who Is This For?
Pets, people, or both. If you want it to just be your dog in the flowers, we can do that. If you want to get in the frame too, even better. These sessions are relaxed and fun and the location does a lot of the heavy lifting.
What to Know Before You Come

Dogs must remain on leash at all times. Old River Farms is a shared space and leashes are required throughout your visit.
If your dog is very reactive around other dogs, this may not be the best fit. Because the farm is open to the public, there's a chance other dogs will be nearby. I want everyone to have a good experience, and a highly reactive dog in that environment can make it stressful for them and for you.
Arrive ready to go. With only 15 minutes, we'll want to make the most of our time together. If you're bringing your dog, have their leash on and treats in hand when you arrive.
Wear something you feel good in. The same guidance applies here as with any session. Neutrals and subtle patterns photograph beautifully against the flowers. Avoid busy prints or large logos. And if you're wearing a dress, go midi or maxi since you'll be moving around and crouching down with your pet.
