What It Looks Like to Sponsor a Seen + Saved Session

One of the questions I get most often from businesses interested in the Seen + Saved Initiative is some version of "what does this actually look like?". Because of this, I thought it would be helpful to share two real examples from this past month so you can see exactly how it comes together in practice.
How It Works
A $750 business sponsorship funds a full day of professional photography for shelter and foster pets. These are animals actively waiting for homes, and a great photo can be the difference between sitting in a kennel for months and getting adopted within days. I've seen it happen over and over again since we started tracking in 2025.
The rescue sessions themselves are held separately and privately. Keeping those sessions calm and low-stimulation is important for the animals, so sponsors are not present during that portion. What sponsors do receive is meaningful visibility from that work: their logo on every photo from the sponsored session, and a collaborator role on the post when those animals are shared publicly each month. That's real, ongoing exposure tied directly to content that the rescue community actively engages with.

In return for their sponsorship, businesses also receive a complimentary pop-up pet headshot event, up to two hours, at their location or a local business of their choosing. I bring my full portable setup, photograph the pets of their clients, employees, or residents, and after the event each guest will receive a preview gallery to choose their favorite image, which is then delivered digitally. It's a genuinely fun experience that gives businesses a meaningful way to show up for their community while supporting rescue animals at the same time.
DoodyCalls of Coastal NC at Fermental

DoodyCalls of Coastal NC sponsored a session and chose to use their pop-up event as a community gathering at Fermental in the Cargo District. They also turned it into a supply drive for Paws Place, collecting donations from attendees to support the rescue's residents.
Thirty-seven dogs came through Fermental that afternoon. DoodyCalls set the tone by pairing the event with a Paws Place supply drive, and the turnout reflected that. People were there for their pets and happy to give back at the same time.
Arboretum West

Arboretum West, a local apartment community, sponsored a session and used their pop-up event as a resident appreciation event. They set me up on site and invited their residents to bring their pets in for photos as a thank you for being part of their community.
We photographed 28 pets that day. For a property that welcomes pet owners, it was a natural fit. Residents got something tangible and personal out of it, and Arboretum West got to show their community that they genuinely value the people and animals who call their property home. It's the kind of perk that people talk about.
Who This Is For
The two examples above are pretty different on the surface, a bar event with a supply drive versus an on-site resident appreciation event, but they both worked because the sponsoring business thought about what their audience would actually enjoy. That's really all it takes.
This sponsorship is a great fit for:
Pet-friendly businesses looking for a unique community event
Apartment communities with pet-friendly policies
Local businesses wanting to give back in a meaningful way
Companies looking for branded content and community visibility
Every sponsorship directly funds professional photography for rescue animals in the Wilmington area. The pop-up event is the perk. The real impact is the animals who get seen and find homes because of it.
If this sounds like something your business would be interested in, I'd love to talk through it. You can reach me at the link below or request the full sponsorship packet to learn more.
